Point Alliance has been off to a busy start this year!

Aside from networking and meeting new people, one of the things we enjoy the most is the opportunity to work with a variety of clients across a wide range of industries. Over the years we’ve the pleasure of partnering up with clients from local non-profits to global corporations, spanning across a spectrum of different industries. Of course, clients who share the same industry do not necessarily share the same issues and challenges. We always enjoy hearing each client’s unique story and finding creative ways to meet their distinct needs and to explore new opportunities.

Here’s a look at two of the projects we’ve recently wrapped up with our friends in the Insurance industry.

Do more in less time with automated processes!

This Canadian insurance corporation needed a way to quickly and efficiently collect, manage and assess claim information in a secure manner. Point Alliance developed a custom web solution that allowed users to quickly upload required data in simple, pre-defined formats in a secure environment. The solution provides a review interface for the organization to evaluate the completeness of the data and a business rules engine that ensured consistency of data.

In addition to data encryption and audit logging, the solution provides a multi-tier level of security, granting each user role specific access. Predefined and ad hoc reports are also developed server side, limiting access to elements of claims data and further protecting the privacy of the data.

Since the launch of the new application, the company has seen significantly improved efficiencies with their claims analysis, processing an increasing number of claims each year since launch.

Save time and resources with a compliance management system!

This insurance company was finding that their existing process of compliance management was becoming too cumbersome. The process was manual, time consuming and ultimately, a burden on resources.

Point Alliance leveraged its very own Legislative Compliance Management System (LCMS) to implement an automated, online system that met all their compliance requirements. By using the LCMS solution, the company now benefits from a sophisticated and automated workflow system, with the ability to retain a full audit history of all activities. Users are newly empowered to quickly view, assign and track compliance requirements in real time which has significantly reduced the amount of time and resources necessary to achieve regular compliance tasks.

The company is now also able to produce up to date reports, reflective of each stage throughout the compliance process, keeping stakeholders and board members informed on a regular basis. By having Point Alliance host the new compliance system, the insurance company is further able to benefit from reduced infrastructure and maintenance costs and requirements.
