Point Alliance Extends ipoint.to Haiti Relief Campaign

Posted on: Thursday, February 25, 2010

Toronto, ON (February 25, 2010)- Point Alliance announced today that it has extended ipoint.to’s Haiti Relief Campaign for the month of March.

To aid in the Haiti disaster, Point Alliance had committed to donating 10 cents each time ipoint.to is used for the entire month of February. Donations will be made to Canadian Red Cross towards providing relief, restoring hope and rebuilding Haiti’s future. Point Alliance Chief Information Officer, John Zarei says that the decision to extend the program was an easy one to make. “The crisis in Haiti is extremely devastating and with the challenging road they still face ahead of them, they will need all the support they can get.” With another month added to the campaign, Point Alliance expects to achieve more than double of February’s donation amount. Zarei adds, “The response to ipoint.to has been overwhelming. I think users like the idea of being able to contribute- just by doing something simple, like shortening a link. We at Point Alliance are just happy to help.” Point Alliance is very pleased with the campaign results to date, and hopes to generate more awareness around ipoint.to and the Haiti Relief Campaign moving forward.
